Congratulations on taking your first step toward enjoying a lifetime of underwater adventure. By obtaining your PADI Open Water Diver certification you will be able to dive anywhere in the world and experience everything that the ocean has to offer: exciting marine life, ever changing scenery and complete immersion into a different world. And most importantly, your certification never expires so you can enjoy your new skills for years to come.
We have prepared this handy summary with some important information about your certification class:
Duration: |
2 days, typically Saturday and Sunday.

Format: |
Independent learning and hands on training.
You are provided with a copy of your Open Water manual and DVD video covering all of the skills and requirements of the course. Alternatively, you can enroll in an online class and complete the Knowledge Reviews from the comfort of your own home at your own pace. Either way, you should be faimilar with the course content and have completed the Knowledge Reviews prior to Day 1 meeting. |
Schedule: |
Day 1:
- Morning meeting to review independent learning results, Knowledge Reviews from your PADI Open Water manual and answer any questions.
- Pool session with skills demonstration and training.
- Lunch is served.
- Afternoon continues with our first two open water dives, which are usually conducted from the beach to assure comfort and safety.
Day 2:
- We finalize our training with two additional open water dives from our boat in Lantana, FL.
- Final de-briefing is held at our location to answer any additional questions, process certification cards and discuss future diving plans.

Prerequisites: |
No prior training required. Must be in good health and at least 15 years old. |

Make sure to Reserve early as our Open Water classes are extremely popular and tend to fill up quickly.
