Open Water Diver
Open Water Diver is the original entry-level course in the PADI system. Upgrade to this level from Scuba Diver or move straight to this level. This course prepares you to dive in familiar conditions without direct supervision, and allows you to dive and purchase or rent gear at thousands of locations world-wide!
Advanced Open Water
The Advanced Open Water Diver Course continues from the Adventure Diver rating; students may also move directly to this level from Open Water Diver. Move on to your choice of Specialty diver ratings, Rescue Diver, and then Professional or Master Scuba Diver ratings!
Rescue Diver
The Rescue Diver Course introduces students to techniques including self-rescue/self-sufficiency and established diver rescue procedures. This course is highly recommended for all divers, and is required in order to continue through Professional and Master SCUBA Diver ratings.
Divemaster
The Divemaster certification allows you to assist in teaching PADI courses, plan and guide dives for certified divers, and independently conduct several experience programs in the PADI system. With your first "Black" Divemaster C-Card you are employable in the diving industry! Move on to become an Assistant Instructor, Open Water Instructor, and beyond.
Specialty Diver Courses
Choose from a variety of Specialty Diver ratings and Improve Your Scuba! Accumulate 5 Specialties and a Rescue Diver certification and attain the highest non-professional rating in the PADI system, MASTER SCUBA DIVER. Or, collect Specialties as you progress through Professional PADI membership levels and teach them to others.
Master SCUBA Diver
The Master Scube Diver rating is the highest recreational rating in the PADI system. It shows knowledge and committment and requires mastering many skills including Rescue, EFR and at least five specialties.
Instructor, MSDT and Course Director
Your professional pursuit can continue with Instructor and Assistant Instructor training. The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is the next step beyond Divemaster and Assistant Instructor on the route to the first level Instructor rating. Beyond that are MSDT and CD ratings, not covered by DiveBee.
